Las várices y las estrías

A partir del cuarto mes de embarazo, el abdomen se vuelve más pesado y comprime los vasos de tus piernas. Por eso, las venas se dilatan y se producen las várices. Si querés prevenir esas venitas violetas y las estrías, tené en cuenta estos consejos.

A medida que avanza tu embarazo, la panza empieza a pesar más y comprime las venas de tus piernas. Con el aumento de peso, la poca actividad física y una posible predisposición hereditaria a las varicosidades, aparecen las várices.
Si querés prevenir esas venitas azules, tené en cuenta estos consejos. Por ejemplo, usar medias de soporte para varicosidades (várices) es muy bueno, especialmente cuando éstas sean hereditarias. Las medias pueden conseguirse en tiendas especiales, debés ponértelas antes de levantarte, cuando la venas no están repletas de sangre, y usarlas durante el resto del día. Estas previenen el exceso de dilatación de las várices.
Luego del parto, si las várices no mejoran, podés conversar con tu doctor acerca de un posible tratamiento.
En cualquier caso, es fundamental mantener la buena circulación en tus piernas, evitar estar parada o sentada por mucho tiempo. Es bueno hacer cortas caminatas y realizar ejercicios diariamente.
Las estrías, en cambio, están relacionadas al estiramiento repentino de la piel. Durante el embarazo, en algunas mujeres, la piel de los senos y el abdomen se estiran produciendo una ruptura de pequeñas fibras elásticas; así aparecen pequeñas líneas de color violáceo que, con el tiempo se tornan blanquecinas, asemejándose a pequeñas cicatrices.
El tamaño de tu bebé no es un factor de riesgo para el aumento de las estrías, aunque sí lo es el factor hereditario y los antecedentes de tu cuerpo en relación a las estrías, especialmente durante tu adolescencia.
La única manera de revertir definitivamente las estrías es a través de cirugía cosmetológica. Por eso, es bueno prevenirlas. Para disminuir la aparición de estrías, es muy importante que hidrates tu piel diariamente con cremas nutritivas especialmente en abdomen, muslos, gluteos y senos. Recordá que luego del baño la piel absorbe los humectantes más rápidamente, por eso es el mejor momento para aplicar las cremas.
